{Antique look-a-like}

Knowing I adore antiques and retro style
My elder, seasoned sister recently told me about a store called

My visit was simply "life changing."
How could I have not known such serenity existed.
I was in the store for hours.
Touching every piece of clothing. Smelling the candles and perfumes.
Sitting in the furniture, my mind bursting with inspiration.
The lovely kitchenware and linens.

After about the second hour Edwin approached me with a crazy look in his eye.
"This music is tripping me out. We need to leave!"
What! I have never heard a song you didn't like.
He plopped down on the mustard yellow leather settee I had been drooling over and handed me his armful of candles.
Maybe you have been sniffing too much aphrodisiac, I muttered in a paranoid rant.
Being forced out in cuffs was, in my mind, a legitimate concern.
Feeling somewhat hypnotized myself, I made my way to the counter.

"Uhh, Miss, We'll wait on those CD's!"

Girls Trip

{Lousy IPhone Picture}

While visiting Batterman's I fell upon this beauty.
A real wood burning stove.
It is tradition in the Patterson family to have a wood burning stove.
All the Mrs. Patterson's before me have used them.
My mother-in-law would cook her Thanksgiving Turkey in it.
I could just see it in the future Patterson Manor in the mountains.
Smoke poring out of the brick chimney while I bake pies for the Cafe in my apron.

My definition of art is:
To be appreciated primarily for it's beauty and emotional power.

I love the vintage wallpaper in my Grandma's cabin wash room.
Someday I hope to frame it and hang in my home.
Dibs!

While visiting the cabin it is custom to visit the picture board.
Not because the pictures ever change.
Rather to enlighten our minds of our wonderful family.
