A Doozy

{Granny as an Islamic bride}

Yesterday was a doozy.

This is how it went down.
Kendra invited a cousin over which meant I had to drive 40 minutes one way to get her.
Might as well pop into civilization and get some long over due haircuts, quality shoes for the children and meet dad for dinner. Bad idea.

The children were nutzo and Edwin's meeting at the office "ran late"...
It was one against five. I usually do quite well but I think Edwin being gone last week
finally set in. By the time Mr. Patterson arrived dinner was long done and I was spent.

I handed him the reins and hopped into his big white truck. Cranked 80's rap and tore out of there like a bat out of you know where. There is something about the turbo that makes adrenaline flow through my veins and unwinds me. I needed to be free for the ride home.

I thought about the last time I drove down the I-10 was with my Granny.
She was intensely sniffling like a serious coke addict and kept saying
"If these blankity blank allergies don't go away I am going to slash my wrists!"
That made me laugh. And then I was fixed.
